Hope Squad

Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program.

Hope Squad members are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy peers and trained by advisors.

The program reduces youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. 

Hope Squad is a national organization.

BHS Hope Squad's initial year of operation was 2022-2023.

We had 25 members of Hope Squad chosen by their peers and teachers as people who were trustworthy and able to listen.

We are in association with South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority, our mental health organization. SCLHSA – Behavioral Health Services in South Louisiana

Our Hope Squad is lovingly supported by the Nicholaus Bolner Foundation and Stop the Stigma.
