Dress Code and Dance Guidelines

Berwick High School Dance Guidelines

Homecoming Dance is October 5th at Berwick Civic Center

Students must be in "Good Standing* Status to attend (no more than five unexcused absences by the dance, no more than 3 referrals, all fees have been taken care of)

  • Online Tickets Only
    No tickets sold at the door.
  • No one 20 years or older may attend, 
  • All students must have a high school ID to be admitted
  • Students from another high school must have a form from their principal stating they are in Good
    Standing* Status.
 
  • Homecoming Activities 2024

    Dancing through the Decades!

    We will be celebrating and participating in the following activities: 

     SUNDAY:  Wall decorating/Sign Decorating from 2:00 – 4:00 – sponsor(s) must be present.  

    MONDAY: Roaring ‘20s!   (Flappers and Fedoras: flapper dresses (not short), suspenders and fedora hats. Full shoes required) 

    Decorating from 3:00 – 5:00 – sponsor(s) must be present 

    Flag Football 6PM *students are asked to wear old shirts in their class colors (Freshmen Yellow/Gold, Sophomores White, Juniors Gray, Seniors Black) 

    TUESDAY: 50s Sock Hop (Poodle Skirts and Greasers. Poodle skirts, leather jackets, rolled up jeans and sleeves. Full shoes)  

    Decorating from 3:00 – 5:00 – sponsor(s) must be present 

    WEDNESDAY: 70s Flower Power (Hippie Day: flowers, peace signs, bell-bottom jeans. Full shoes required)  

    Decorating from 3:00 - 5:00 – sponsor(s) must be present 

    Senior Voting for Queen and King voting during the day  

    Wacky Olympics 6PM *students are asked to wear old shirts in their class colors (Freshmen Yellow/Gold, Sophomores White, Juniors Gray, Seniors Black) 

    THURSDAY: 80s Retro Day (Neon Day Dress in Bright 80s colors. Full shoes)  

    Decorating Judging today by impartial judges  

    Parade participants in the parking lot – in spots by 3:30,  

    Parade at 4:00 PM **drivers must be 21 and over, students should toss not throw candy, music allowed but monitor what we are playing** 

    Chili Supper Dinner in Cafeteria beginning at 4:30PM 

    Pep Rally at 6:30PM *Seniors will present parents with corsages at 6:15PM 

    FRIDAY: Modern Day (Class Shirt Day. Wear class shirts with jeans/uniform bottoms. Full shoes)  

    Berwick High School vs. Thrive Academy 7PM *Let’s pack the house for our Panthers! 

    BHS Hall of Fame presentation at 6:40 (before the game)

    Court Presentation at Half Time, crowning of the 2024 Homecoming Queen 

    SATURDAY: Homecoming Dance Sponsored by BHS Cheerleaders 

    Dance Doors open at 8PM at Berwick Civic Center 

    Court Presentation with the crowning of the King at 8:30 PM 

    Doors Close at 9:30PM and Reopen at 11:15PM 

    Reminders:   Be mindful of the school dress code requirements for all dress up days.

    The school does not tolerate hazing.  Any student found guilty of hazing will be punished.  Also, toilet papering is not a school-sanctioned activity.  Trash, small pieces of paper and other items placed in one’s yard is vandalism. Please be aware that many members of our community are not tolerant of this behavior. This is a time to have fun and celebrate our school spirit.  Play smart and be good!
